{"id":492,"date":"2023-05-23T02:51:39","date_gmt":"2023-05-23T02:51:39","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/angbandos.skarstech.com\/wiki\/?p=492"},"modified":"2023-05-23T02:58:23","modified_gmt":"2023-05-23T02:58:23","slug":"symbols-on-your-map","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/angbandos.skarstech.com\/wiki\/symbols-on-your-map\/","title":{"rendered":"Symbols On Your Map"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Symbols on your map can be broken down into three categories: Features of the dungeon such as walls, floor, doors, and traps; Objects which can be picked up such as treasure, weapons, magical devices, etc; and creatures which may or may not move about the dungeon, but are mostly harmful to your character\u2019s well being.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Some symbols are used to represent more than one type of entity, and some symbols are used to represent entities in more than one category. The \u201c@\u201d symbol (by default) is used to represent the character.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It will not be necessary to remember all of the symbols and their meanings.
